This breadboard kit contains everything you need to build a programmable 8×8 LED Matrix.  Images can be programmed into the matrix using the 4 buttons in a “draw” mode, and then save to memory during power-off. While viewing the image, it can be scrolled or flashed at three different speeds as well as randomized. New patterns can be re-saved.

This breadboard kit is of moderate complexity, but does not require any soldering or laptop to use. Runs from a single 9v battery.

This kit includes all of the parts you need to build your own version of Christoph Haberer’s open-source Atmel based C64 SID chip emulator.  This is a very good emulation of the MOS 6581 with the difference of very simple serial control from your laptop, computer or microcontroller.
The kit includes a pre-programmed AVR chip allowing you to build and use the emulator without soldering or programming the microcontroller. Also included are all wires and components, and additional sample code. (Breadboard is NOT included)
